What to Play After Telestrations
If your group lives for games that use prompts to generate laughs and creativity (just like Telestrations) there are a few other party games that hit a similar sweet spot.
Monikers trades drawing for fast-talking (and occasionally frantic acting) mayhem. It’s a glorious combination of Taboo and Charades that somehow gets funnier every round.
Wavelength is all about reading the room, where one clue can spark five minutes of passionate debate over whether a hotdog counts as a sandwich.
Word Slam keeps the communication energy high, forcing teams to describe secret words using only a limited deck of word cards. It’s frantic, loud, and full of laughs.
And if you want something built entirely around sound effects and social awkwardness, don’t go past That Sound Game. Which teaches you just how bad you are at making eagle noises.
Because sometimes the only thing better than a bad drawing… is doubling down on the madness.

Ahhhh let me know what you think of Tash-Kalar and what your favourite faction is 🙂 I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Will do. Kind of interested in picking up some expansions already. Pretty bummed that 2/4 starting factions are the same.
Yeah, I was like that although it is probably to make the rules easier to learn. I have one expansion personally – Nethervoid, which adds demons. I haven’t played it yet, but will review it once I do 😀
I’ve really enjoyed my time with Spirit Island. Once you learn it, it’s still challenging and there is so much variety in the replayability. Just got the small new gods pack and need to test them out.
Yes! The key is to learn it. That rule book is helping no one, this was one of the few games I had to go to YouTube for. It’s actually pretty simple for a game of its complexity.
What difficulty have you played it at? I’m at 0 haha.
Yea we’ve kept it low (and not using adversaries) as we test each God pairing and learn the different strategies. Haven’t tried the detailed maps yet either. There’s just so much!
