Writing a blog consistently is hard.
Writing a board game review blog is harder.
It takes X amount of games to get a feel for how it plays. And while I’m fully invested. Not everyone shares my enthusiasm. Meaning I don’t always get to play as much as I want or need to keep delivering content.
The next game I want to review is Dawn of the Peacemakers, I’m two games into the campaign. So far it’s great, but I definitely want to get more under the belt before I come to any conclusions.
So there’s that.
More personally, I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression issues recently. While shitty in general. This changes writing from something I love to do, to being a chore.
Which absolutely sucks.
Therefore, there’s no review this week.
However, I am trying to get the group together, so there’s hope for next week.
Sorry guys!
In the meantime, I went to Australia Zoo on the weekend. I had as good a time as I could, and saw lots of animals – and took lots of pictures. Enjoy.

Dave, I totally get you on this. I’ve suffered from the same as far as blog writing goes (as you well know), and also a bit of anxiety and depression (though I would never equate me with anybody else as nobody can really know another person’s problems well enough to do that).
We’ll definitely be here when you get up for it again, and we’re here for you as well. If you ever need to talk, just let me know.
But don’t worry about the blog. It will be here when you’re ready.

Cheers Dave.
Thankfully this anxiety is completely blog unrelated! Though I can totally see how that happens. But still the run off affects are massive. I’ve taken the first steps and started to get comfortable talking about it, and gone to see the doctor. So I’m happy with the progress so far.
Still sucks though. Haha.

I have it a bit in other aspects too (I do get anxious sometimes and have to talk to somebody to calm down), but it really comes out in the blogging aspect for me.
I’m glad that you’re taking these steps and are able to talk about it. It’s an important first step!

When did I move to Australia?
Seriously though, I ran into the same thing you mention, right down to the anxiety. There are weeks where I don’t want to even think about playing a game, let alone do anything that requires mental aptitude like write about one.
Keep your head up, and know you aren’t alone.

Thanks Andrew!
It helps to know others are out there suffering as well. Misery loves company right! Worst part about the whole experience is, is there’s no magic cure – yet.
